ShowUp Labs / AI visibility reports

AI visibility, measured across 44 well-known sites

Every one of these was scanned the same way we scan a customer: real buyer questions for their own category, asked of a live answer engine, plus direct technical checks on the site. Being a household name turns out to be no protection at all.

Automated measurement of public websites, most recently 2026-08-26. We test whether answer engines can reach, read and quote a site, and whether they name it when buyers ask questions in its category. We are not rating these businesses. Work at one of them and think a reading is wrong? Tell us and we will re-run it.

What this set shows

6 of 44 well-known sites were named in none of the buyer questions we asked in their own category. 19 scored 60 or above. Size and brand recognition are not the same thing as being the answer an engine gives, which is the whole reason this measurement exists. [Figure withdrawn 26 Aug 2026 pending re-measurement, why.]

How this was measured

Buyer questions are generated for each site's own category and grounded in live web search, then asked of an answer engine, recording which brands it names. Technical checks are direct fetches and HTML parsing rather than model guesses, and a check we cannot measure is left out of the score rather than counted as a failure. A site that refused our fetcher, or where live search returned nothing, is left out of this list entirely rather than published with a number we do not trust.

Scores move as the web changes. Every reading is dated, and each page says when it was taken.
